U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said the Fed is "not far off" from being confident of cutting interest rates.
According to reports from Bloomberg and Reuters, Powell said in response to a question from the Senate Banking Committee on Thursday (March 7): "I think we are at an appropriate time. What we are waiting for is to have more confidence that inflation can be sustained at 2%. "There is confidence, and when we have that confidence and we are not far away from that confidence, it will be appropriate to start easing monetary policy so that it doesn't tip the economy into recession."
Powell's speech showed that he is confident that recent higher-than-expected inflation data and other strong economic data will not disrupt the continued downward trend in prices last year. Expectations that rate cuts will begin in the coming months have become stronger. #热门话题 #aevo #RNDR #ai $BTC $ETH $BNB
